Their many common names are; "love bone," "pecker bone," "possum prick," Texas toothpick," "mountain man toothpick" and "baculum" (Latin for "little rod"). Raccoon penis bones are commonly used as charms and curios to bring love, as a token of love, fertility, and for luck in gambling in the Ozark Mountains. It is common for a family to have a "mountain toothpick" that has been passed down in the family for generations.

Lore says that if you wrap one with a 10 dollar bill it brings great luck at gambling venues. To make this gris gris I recommend my Fortuna Madama, House of the Rising Sun, or Haitian Gambler Oil.

I recommend keeping them oiled with my Dixie Love or Commanding Love oil depending what your working is for.

These are not easy to come by, even in botanicas, and are ever more difficult to obtain. These were taken from road kill and have been boiled and polished.
